Accommodation

TOWER is a special place to stay. Guests can enjoy the romance and mystery of this Grade 1 listed home when staying in one of three guest rooms. The “Sir George Wynne”, the “Wettenhall” and the “Lady Mainwaring” bedrooms are furnished with mostly antique furniture and family portraits from which the names of the rooms are derived, and have views either over the lake or lawn and woodland. They all have large double or king size beds (one can be split to form two singles) and either en-suite or private bathroom. Tea/coffee making facilities, TV and CD/radio alarms and other home comforts such as fresh fruit, flowers and oodles of reading material are all provided. Full Welsh breakfast is served at the library end of the drawing room and every effort is made to use only locally sourced products.

TOWER is ideally situated for visiting the many other Historic Houses, Castles and National Trust properties such as Chirk, Erddig, and Bodnant Garden in North Wales, or Arley Hall & Gardens, Lyme Park, Ness Gardens and Tatton Park in Cheshire. For culture lovers there is Theatre Clwyd in Mold, the Welsh National Portrait Gallery at Bodelwyddan Castle, Llangollen the home of the International Eisteddfod, and the Lady Lever Art Gallery in Port Sunlight, not forgetting the walled city of Chester with its Roman amphitheatre, Elizabethan architecture, world famous Zoo and Roodee Racecourse which are just a few miles away. Walkers can try Offa’s Dyke, the Clwydian Hills or various walks along the North Wales coast and the Dee estuary – or a gentle stroll round the gardens of TOWER.
